About Érika

Art from Ibiza.

Érika Candela Porres Martín, known as Érika Martin, was born on February 27, 2002, on the island of Ibiza. She grew up there, saying, “I will never forget those weekends when my mother would take me to the country house of some friends who had a farm, and we were surrounded only by horses, goats, podenco dogs, ducks, chickens… We would cook the eggs we collected and then spend the whole day at the beach, running from end to end, exploring every corner until the sunset light told us it was time to go home.” This is how the artist describes her childhood.

She began working at a young age, taking jobs in a children’s clothing store and later in two cafés to support her family. At 21, she decided to take control of her future. “I remember the frustration of working for someone else’s dream in an environment where I felt neither comfortable nor fulfilled. One day, I simply quit to pursue something I truly enjoyed.” That choice marked the beginning of her model career. She spent a year seeking agency representation, investing her time, energy, and creativity into building a portfolio. Then, an unexpected email arrived from a prestigious Spanish agency: they wanted to sign her. “That’s when I learned that if you focus your energy on something and truly believe in it, results will come.”

“I have always been a very creative and independent person,” she says. Once her work and income were stable, she decided to start her own business doing what she loves most—painting. “I returned to painting at 19 and even managed to work a little with my art, but I didn’t take it seriously until two years later, when I decided it would become my true project.” By 2023, Érika had fully committed to painting—developing her skills, sharing her work publicly, and eventually building a career from it. “As a child, I always dreamed of becoming a model, and I’m grateful to be living that dream now. But being able to combine it with my greatest passion—art—is truly a dream come true.”

To this day, Érika carries her passion forward, balancing her career as a model with her craft as an artist.
